Zoe… 💙  Here is her story:

“My name is Zoe and I am a recovering addict, I have been in recovery for almost 5 years. I was in active addiction for 18 years, I lost everything including myself. My family never gave up on me and loved me even when I didn’t love myself. I have met some amazing people through the fellowship and I am proud to call them my dear friends.

I am running 5km with my PT Trainer Steve Cross, who has helped me in my recovery with my fitness and mental health. My Big Bro is one of my biggest supporters and I want to make him proud too, he has a passion for health and fitness, I want to raise funds for Better Way Recovery set up by its founder Peter Griffith, a new charity based in Lichfield for anyone who is struggling or has struggled with addiction.

It’s vital for these services to be up and running to support those who have lost their way and feel they have no where to turn, for them to see first hand that recovery is possible, we are all united together to finally live a better life.”
