Mark… 🤦‍♂️ Here is his story:

“Hi, I’m Mark. I have been drinking for years now! I’ve lost two good jobs, relationships, my house, you name it, I’ve lost it! I tried different services and organisations but nothing seemed to work.

I was lost, isolating in just four walls, drinking on my own, no friends, no life, no motivation. I didn’t want to know anything outside those walls, I didn’t want to know the world out there. I felt scared and confused. I thought drink was my friend!

Then I had this phone call completely out of the blue, it was this Scouser called Peter. He talked me through what Betterways does, and then he actually came out to see me at home. I couldn’t believe it, no one has ever done that for me before!

The next week he picked me up and took me over to the group. It was that week I stopped drinking. At the time of writing this I am now ten weeks clean and things are looking up, doors are opening, I’m making new friends and I realize now, there is a life outside those four walls!
