Chloe's Story

Here’s Chloe’s Story:

“Hello, my name is Chloe and I am an addict. I have been in the madness for the past 10 years. My life has been absolute chaos. Everything I did and everywhere I went I caused carnage. I have suffered a lot of traumas. I have felt very lonely, lost and broken most of my life. I have three beautiful children who have also suffered beside me on this journey. Towards the end of my using, my life had become unmanageable!

I attempted to take my own life! I was unconscious and had be resuscitated in hospital. Thank God for my higher power. I got handed a Better Way Recovery leaflet. I can not thank this place enough, I put trust in to everyone and committed my energy to working on myself. I finally found people who understood me and genuinely cared. I was no longer alone. Pete and all the staff and volunteers were always on the end of the phone for me;- they gave me hope and strength. I started to believe in myself and began to gain confidence. They referred me and prepared me for Burton Addiction Centre.”

“I have just done 16 weeks of intense therapy in a rehabilitation centre, which has been my hardest but greatest achievement. Better Way has shown me a life changing experience! I am now becoming the woman and the mother I was always meant to be. I have amazing connections and friends in recovery. I would not be who I am today without the help and support from Better Way. I am 4 months and 24 days clean. Anyone who is hurting, it isn’t a sign of weakness to ask for help. Come along to Better Way Recovery. There is a light at the end of the tunnel.”
